Wolcott: Formerly of Batavia, passed away Monday May 19th at age 72. John is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ruth; daughters Darlene (Richard) Stevens and Dawn (John) Budinock; son John “Skip” Shanley Jr.; grandchildren Alexander and Eric Stevens, Alyssa and Kara Budinock; brother Lawrence (Sarah) Shanley; sister Nora Scofield; one brother-in-law; three sister-in-laws; several nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by brother Ronald Shanley.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, 6-9 p.m. from the COLVIN-ROBERTSON-NORTON FUNERAL HOME, 5925 New Hartford Street in Wolcott. John’s funeral will be held 11 a.m. Thursday from the Faith United Methodist Church in Wolcott, interment will be at the Glenside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Glenside Cemetery Association, or to the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center, c/o Lifetime Care.
