Obituary of Lynwood L. Klock

Savannah: Age 74, formerly of Dexter, NY, died Saturday August 23rd, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born May 12, 1934 in Watertown, he was the son of Wesley and Grace Payne Klock. He was a Navy Veteran, having served from 1951-1955, attaining the rank of AC3; he graduated from Delmar College in Texas in 1957; was employed by the City of Rochester from May 1970 until February 1994, where he held supervisory positions in the street lighting department, refuse collection, snow removal and the water bureau. Following his retirement he enjoyed spending time at his cottage in Black Lake with family and friends. Lynwood is survived by children Randy (Kim) Klock, Donald (Stephanie) Klock, Kris Klock, Mark (Bridgette) Nickles, Linda David, Debbie Alley; daughter-in-law Nancy Nickles; sister Tanny Hanson; grandchildren Mackenzie Klock, Stephen Klock, Joshua Klock, Christopher Joseph Klock, Dana Bush, Kristin Alley, Kevin Alley, Courtney Burgess, Ryan Burgess, Joshua Nickles, Benjamin Nickles, Casey Nickles and Joli Lonneville; great-granddaughter Hallie Klock. He was predeceased by his wife Kathleen “Irene” Klock; son Daniel Klock; parents Wesley and Grace Klock; brother Kris Wesley Klock and daughter Dianne Doig. Visitation will be Friday August 29th, from 4-6 p.m. at the Colvin-Norton Funeral Home, West Church Street, Savannah. A graveside service will be held immediately following at the Crusoe Cemetery where Military Honors will be held. Memorials may be directed to the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Association, Upstate New York Chapter, PO Box 127, Elbridge, NY 13060.
