Obituary of Adele Mae Bettis

Williamson: Passed away suddenly on Wednesday November 5, 2008, age 71. Adele was predeceased by her husband Harold A. Bettis in 1993, daughter Tina A. Glaum in 2005, and grandson Michael Church. She is survived by her children Darlene (Mark) Sovie, Evelyn (Pete Drock) Church, Joann (Sara Harrington) Bettis, Michelle (Jeremiah Mourey) Fuller and Larry Babb; 16 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sisters Florence, Joann, Betty, Carolee, Marion, Julie, Fran and Nellie; brother Ed. Adele was a volunteer through the Wayne County Office of the Aging Nutrition Center in Sodus, a 10 year volunteer helping the Sodus Fire Department (The Ticket Lady), and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Perinton Post # 8495 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Adele also helped at the V.A.M.C. in Canandaigua as well as helping with paralyzed disabled veterans. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held November 17th at 11 a.m. from the Sodus United Third Methodist Church, 56 West Main Street in Sodus. Contributions may be directed to the Nutrition Center c/o Sodus United Third Methodist Church.
