Williamson: Virginia A. Laird, age 63, passed away at her home on Sunday, June 21st. Born May 21, 1952 in Watertown, she was the daughter of Harold and Marge Bates Ramsdell. Virginia attended school in Henderson, and was a 1972 graduate of Jefferson Community College. She was married to William Laird on April 14, 1973 in Henderson. Surviving besides her husband are her son Jared (Angie) Laird; daughter Kristi Laird; grandsons Jake and Evan Laird; sisters Sue Barney of Oxbow, and Jean (Dan) Cornwall of West Henrietta; mother-in-law Betty Laird; in-laws Hugh and Linda Laird, Dave and Donna Laird all of Sodus, Leata Laird Kersey of Watertown; and several nieces and nephews. Virginia was employed as an Office Clerk for Fowler Brothers Inc. for 11 years. She enjoyed reading, camping, and watching her grandsons play baseball. Visitation will be held Thursday June 25th from 5-8 p.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 45 West Main Street in Sodus, where a service will follow at 8 p.m. Additional visitation will be held on Saturday June 27th from 4-7 p.m. with a service following at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, 7883 Route 289, Belleville, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF), 383 Main Avenue, 5th Floor, Norwalk, CT 06851 in Virginia’s memory would be appreciated.
