Type Obit Here North Rose: Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on August 24, 2015, at age 88. Don is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Marcia. Also survived by his children David (Maria), Mary Ann (Paul) Smith, Doug (Wendy), Tom (Crystal), Kathy (David) Baxter, Daniel (Kim) and Michael (Debbie). Don is also survived by his sister Marjorie Gallo, and many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is predeceased by brothers Edgar and John, and by his great grandson Jacob Campbell. Don was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and served during World War II in the Pacific theater of operations. He had worked at Kodak for twenty years before retiring and devoting his time to GarGraves Trackage Corp. As the first employee of the company in 1940, he completed the purchase of GarGraves by the late 1960's, proudly developing it into the company it is today. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, August 28th, from 5 – 9 p.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 45 West Main Street in Sodus. On Saturday August 29th, friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at Church of the Epiphany in Sodus. In lieu of flowers, the Roder family asks that remembrances be made to the DeMay Living Center, 100 Sunset Drive, Newark, NY 14513.
