Red Creek: Passed away on Saturday September 19th, age 87. She was employed for over 30 years with the U.S. Postal Service. At the time of her retirement, she was the Postmaster in Red Creek. Avid campers, Fran and her late husband Barney were seasonal campers at the Piney Woods Campground in North Rose where they had made many lifelong friends and acquaintances. Fran is survived by her children: son Brian Chapman; daughters Trudy (Dan) White, Tamara (Mark) Dauphin, and Tina Jo (Charles) Rourke; grandchildren Colby (Steve) Ceratt, Kara (Mark) Ash, Cory Dauphin, Eric Dauphin, and Marlee Rourke; great-grandchildren Drew Ceratt and Ava Ash. Fran was predeceased by her husband Bayard “Barney”, son Barry Chapman, and her sister Mildred McMillen. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday September 24th from 4 – 6 p.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 5925 New Hartford Street in Wolcott. Her funeral service will be held following calling hours.
