Sodus, New York Verhagen, Mary Mangione Mary Verhagen (Mangione), 88, passed away on July 14th, 2016 at the Blossom View Nursing Home in Sodus. She was born in Rochester on March 9, 1928. She graduated from Jefferson High School and was active in many reunions and activities. She retired from Xerox as a Computer Programmer and also worked as a loan officer at Chase Bank and the Women’s Health Initiative in Rochester helping many women. She was a strong woman and great Mom, gourmet cook and loved to entertain family and friends. She is predeceased by her husband Thomas. She is survived by her children Kathy Wren of Sodus; Inez Verhagen of St. Petersburg, Florida; Tim Verhagen (Carol) of Dansville, N.Y. ; Mike Verhagen of Sodus; nine grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, July 19th, 2016, 2-4 and 7-9 at Norton Funeral Home, 45 W. Main St. in Sodus. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, July 20th, 2016 at 11am at The Church of the Epiphany in Sodus. Interment will be at the Oakwood Cemetery, 1975 Baird Road in Penfield.
