Patricia Ann “Pat” Younglove, 85, of Clayton, Alabama, formerly Wolcott, NY, passed away on June 28, 2020 in Alabama.

Pat was born in Canastota, NY to Merrill and Margaret Petri on May 27, 1935.  Upon graduating from high school, she attended Cortland University receiving her undergraduate degree and Nazareth College receiving her graduate degree in elementary education. Pat then worked throughout the Wayne Finger Lake BOCES school districts teaching mainly the 5th grade level.  After 33 years of teaching, Pat retired from Clyde-Savannah Central School’s in 1990.  She was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International for 45 years and loved her sorority sisters.

Pat was a faithful servant of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rochester and member of the Catholic Community of The Blessed Trinity, Saint Mary Magdalen, Wolcott, NY.  Through her joyful service to the Lord she held several leadership roles and touched the lives of many people.  

Patricia and Earle Younglove were married in 1966, sharing a lifetime of love for 41 years until Earle’s death in 2007.  Pat loved her family and the special times together as they gathered around the family dinner table sharing stories, laughter, playing card games and dominos.

Pat is survived by her children, Amy (Aaron) Byork, Lyons, NY, Brian Younglove, Kentucky, Bradley (Debra) Countryman, Clayton, Alabama, James (Nancy) Younglove, Wolcott, NY, Richard (Izetta) Younglove, Red Creek, NY, best friend Marti (Bob) McDannel, Seneca Falls, NY, 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. 

Pat is preceded in death by her husband Earle, son Darin, parents, Merele and Mary, brothers Jack and Father Rodric Petri.

Due to COVID-19 the family will hold a mass to celebrate her life at a later date.  Further information will be shared as it becomes available.

Memorial donations in Patricia’s name may be made to Blessed Trinity, 43 W. DeZeng St., Clyde, NY  14433.
