Sandra Yvonne (Overton) Leach

Sodus:

Sandra Yvonne (Overton) Leach, 77, of Sodus, NY, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Sodus Rehab and Nursing Center. Per her wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service. The family plans a private graveside gathering in Gordonsville, VA in the future. 

Sandi (Goober) was born on November 10, 1947 in Charlottesville, VA, the daughter of the late Lloyd V. and Thelma E. (Flynt) Overton. She was a past volunteer with the Alton Fire Department and an EMT-Paramedic with the Sodus Town Ambulance. Following her retirement as a postal clerk from the USPS in Walworth, NY, she worked with the local after-school program in Sodus. 

Sandi's faith in Christ was strong. Her heart was her kids, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed singing, dancing, camping, the beach, turtles, and crocheting. She loved animals and for a time had raised rabbits, goats, and chickens. She was especially fond of her dogs. 

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, C. Michael Leach; her children Patricia E. Rosington and Christopher M. Leach (Heidi); her grandchildren Sarah Polito (Chris), Patrick Rosington (Sidney), Trevor Leach (Christina), Victoria Leach, Elizabeth Sewell (Konner), and Casandra Leach; twelve great-grandchildren, her siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
