Robert J. Whitton, Jr., 44, of Savannah, NY, passed away unexpectedly at his home on August 11, 2025. He was born on September 14, 1980, in Findlay, Ohio, the son of Helen A. (Campbell) Monica.

In keeping with the family’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. There will be a celebration of life from 1-4 PM on September 14th at the Clyde Fire Department, 15 Ford St. Clyde, NY, 14433. 

Burial will take place privately at the convenience of the family in Caruso Cemetery.

Robert was a man of quiet passions and simple joys. He enjoyed spending time

outdoors, especially fishing along the banks of the Seneca River, tinkering with cars, and watching classic action films, Nascar racing and loved the Buffalo Bills. He had a knack for fixing things and was always willing to lend a hand to neighbors and friends. His favorite color was blue and favorite food was the steak sandwich with triple the meat from Papa’s Place in Clyde. He was also an animal lover, he enjoyed being around his cats and his best friend Goldie his dog. 

He is survived by his two sons, Zachary J. Whitton and Robert D Whitton,  two daughters MaryKate Whitton, Hailey Whitton, grandchildren Waylon Dudley, Emmery Whitton,  sister Helen (Troy) Sebastiano, brother Michael (Jessica) Marino,  his mother, Helen Monica, along with many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles..

Robert was preceded in death by his stepfather, David Monica, who played a significant role in his life.
