Michael Zachary “Zac” Carlotta passed away peacefully and unexpectedly in the early hours of Saturday morning, October 25, 2025, with a smile on his face. He leaves behind a family, circle of friends, and community who loved him deeply and will miss him beyond measure.

Zac was the cherished son of Nancy Carlotta and Michael (Mick) Carlotta. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sheila Ann Carlotta, and his spiritual brother, Jamal DeHati. He is survived by his mom and dad, Nancy and Mick Carlotta; his fiancée, Kristy Pruitt; his children, Cameron, Brooklyn, and Alex; his sisters, Jill (Darren) Jones, Tina Palmer, and Niccalet (Jared) DeRoo; and his many nieces and nephews; Brianna, Chelsea, Trever, Colby, Nathaniel, Emelia, Warren, Kendyl, Arianna, and Jade along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.

Zac was truly one of a kind an unforgettable soul who could brighten any room. He had a gift for lifting spirits, always quick with a joke or a smile when someone needed it most. Beneath his playful, goofy nature was a kind and gentle heart. He loved deeply, cared endlessly, and carried himself with a quiet strength that inspired those around him.

Zac was also a hardworking man and a talented craftsman. His hands could build, fix, and create with remarkable skill and pride. He poured his heart into everything he did, leaving behind not only memories but the lasting marks of his hard work and talent.

Though life brought him challenges, Zac faced them with grace, humility, and perseverance. He never asked for pity or attention; instead, he offered encouragement, laughter, and a steady shoulder to lean on. Even when he carried heavy burdens, his thoughts were always for the people he loved.

We lost Zac far too soon, but we find peace knowing he is now resting in the arms of Jesus reunited with those who went before him and free from pain. Heaven gained a beautiful soul, a man whose laughter, loyalty, and golden heart will never be forgotten. Forever rest easy, Zac until we meet again.

Friends and family are invited to a funeral service Saturday, November 15 st noon at Norton Funeral Home, 45 W. Main Street, Sodus.
