Mildred I. (Luther) Turner

Mildred Turner, 77, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 26, 2025, at the Hildebrant Hospice Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Friends and family are invited to calling hours on Sunday, January 4, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 45 W. Main Street, Sodus, NY. A service will follow at 3:00 p.m. A private family burial will take place in Lakeview/Pultneyville Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Born on March 31, 1948, in Gouverneur, NY, Mildred was the daughter of the late Dallas and Beulah (Martin) Luther. She retired from Parker Hannifin in Clyde, NY, after many dedicated years of work. Mildred found joy in the simple, meaningful parts of life—gardening, fishing, camping, and, above all, time spent with her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda (Richard) Synesael and Renee Luther (Shawn Horton); her son, Randy (Sara) Luther; twenty grandchildren; twenty‑one great‑grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mildred was one of ten children, blessed with five sisters and five brothers.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Carl H. Turner, Sr., in 2000, and by an infant son, Russell S. Luther.
