Carol E Gent age 87, passed away Sunday March 8, 2026 at Newark Wayne Community Hospital.

Carol was born November 12, 1938 in Sodus, NY to Wilfred and Elizabeth Hill. She was a proud graduate of Sodus Central School. Carol lived her life to the fullest and found great joy in cooking, volunteering and playing the piano at local nursing homes and churches. She had a generous spirit and spent much of her life helping and caring for others. Carol loved her dog, jewelry and spending time in the kitchen where she became known as a fantastic cook. She had a special way of making people smile with her comfort food.

Carol survived by her daughters Cheryl (Rick) Condon, Amy (Dale) Toye; grandchildren Jason (Aimee) Condon, Justin and Nichole Condon, Josh (Marianna) Toye, Jessica (Jon-Ross) Gansz; Nine great grandchildren and one on the way. A sister Janice (Jack) Stone, a brother Lee (Shirley) Hill, several nieces and cousins.

Friends and family are welcome to call at the Woodlane Community Church, 5694 Woodlane Newark, NY on Friday March 13th at 11AM. Following the service everyone is welcome to join us at Fork and Flame Pizzeria, 5716 Rt. 14 Alton NY.
