Joan Verhow, 83, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at Newark Wayne Community Hospital.

Friends and family are invited to her memorial mass, Monday, June 15 at 10 AM at Church of the Epiphany (St. Maximilian Church) 105 W. Main Street, Sodus.

Joan was born on December 2, 1942 in Ilion NY the daughter of the late, Frederick and Juanita (Clemmo) Allen. She worked as a secretary at Rochester General Hospital.

Joan is survived by her children Kelly (Craig) Thompson, Mike McDonald and Jason (Lindsay) Verhow; her grandchildren; Ashley, Nathan, Joshua, John, Izabella, Michael and Leo; her brothers Fred, Grant (Barbara) and John Allen; several nieces, nephews, cousins and several great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her sister-in-law; Alice.
