Sodus Point: Passed away Friday November 7th, age 84 in Myrtle Beach, SC. Doris was born in Canandaigua. She is the daughter of the late Victor and Ethel Scamp VanDamme. She is survived by her children Robert (Shann) Chase Jr., Vicki Chase, Syd (Julie) Chase; grandchildren Kevin (Holly) Chase, Kristin (Stu) Shoots, Syd (Alecia) Chase Jr., Cory (Nicole) Chase, Deven Chase, J.C. (Lexie) Chase, Steven Crannell, and Laura (Ty) Wilkley; 19 great-grandchildren; sisters Helen Logan and Carol (Tom) Carlin. Doris is predeceased by her husband Robert Chase Sr., grandsons Andrew Chase and Michael Crannell.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday November 12th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 45 West Main Street in Sodus, where her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday. Interment will be at the Sodus Rural Cemetery.
