Reynold spent most of his time growing up in Brookville, PA. As a young man he worked as a lumberjack and at age 18 he enlisted in the Army. He was a World War II Veteran stationed in Italy for three years where he worked for the Army Corp of Engineers, repairing buildings and bridges. He became the assistant to the governor of Treista, Italy. After coming home from overseas he married the love of his life, Helen (Matson) and worked at the Brookville Sylvania plant in Pennsylvania. After the plant closed he relocated to Tyre, NY and worked at the Sylvania plant in Seneca Falls as a Quality Control Supervisor. Reynold resided in the Mays Point area so he could start his game bird business. He was known as the “Bird Man” of Mays Point. Reynold was well known throughout the region and taught many people about wildlife. He also worked for the Montezuma Wildlife Refuge as a rehabilitator for many years which he thoroughly enjoyed. He was a great outdoorsman. While working full time for his family and operating his game farm he also was a member of the Masonic Lodge and American Legion in Savannah. He also was a volunteer fireman for the Magee Fire Dept. in Tyre. Reynold had a handshake and a smile for everyone. He always had a kind word for everyone he met.
