Obituary of June C. Hamilton

Please share a memory of June to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Rose: Died April 2, 2015 at age 79. Born to William Hamilton Jr. and Nellie Hamilton on June 17th, 1935 in Ithaca, NY where she grew up. She graduated from Cornell University in 1957. June was very passionate about plants and antiques. Her gardens were absolutely stunning and carefully nurtured, along with her antique collection, which was crafted impressively. She had a special love for dogs and cared for many throughout her life. June’s colorful personality was infectious; it was not uncommon for her to have an entire room full of people doubled-over in laughter. She was always an exciting person to spend time with, as boredom was not a strong suit of hers. Surviving June is her beloved sister, Ruth Fisher, treasured son Malcolm and wife Lisa Beneway, adored daughter Sylvia Beneway and husband James Hoepfinger. She is also survived by loving grandchildren Nathan, Rachel and Jessica Beneway. June is predeceased by cherished daughter, Sharon Beneway, precious husband, Harry Dean and brother, William (Billy). A final celebration will be held for her at Norton Funeral Home, 5925 New Hartford Street, Wolcott, Sunday April 12th from 2 until 4 p.m.
