Obituary of David E. Grosvenor

Sodus: David E. Grosvenor, age 72 of Sodus, passed away following a brief illness on Friday December 11, 2015. Raised in Grosvenor’s Corners, he was the son of the late Willis and Ann Grosvenor. Dave is survived by his devoted and loving companion Sharon Coleman; brother Kent Grosvenor; sister Liz (Terry) Palmer; neices Kate (Chris) Palso, Maureen Grosvenor, and Erin Palmer; great-nephews Gabriel and Eli Palso. Dave was a 1961 graduate of the former Cobleskill High School, a 1966 graduate of Siena College with a Bachelors Degree in Economics. He was a retiree of the New York State Department of Labor where he had been employed for 30 years, was a member of the Rochester Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution where he had served for many years as the chaplain, longtime member of the Rotary Club of Sodus where he was a Past President and Paul Harris Fellow, member of the Wayne County Republican Party, and was a long time communicant of the St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish at Church of the Epiphany in Sodus and St. Rose of Lima in Sodus Point. Visitation will be observed on Monday December 14th from 4 -8 p.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 45 West Main Street in Sodus. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday December 15th at 11 a.m. from Church of the Epiphany in Sodus. Interment will be Thursday December 17th, 11 a.m. at the Grosvenor’s Corners Rural Cemetery in Grosvenor Corners, NY under the direction of the Langan Funeral Home of Central Bridge, NY.
