Obituary of Norma Jean Zonneville

Wolcott/Williamson, New York Zonneville, Norma “Jean” Norma Jean was born on March 2, 1925 in Sodus Point. She passed away on September 3, 2016 at the age of 91. She is predeceased by her parents Lyle D. Comstock and Catherine (Philo) Comstock; husband La Vern (Butch) Zonneville; daughter Sharyll Cowart; son in laws Rene Heckler and Charles Cowart; grandsons Scott Sussman, Kyle Crocka and David Ternoois. She is survived by her daughter Sandra Heckler Primmer (Delbert) of Wolcott; sons Tim Ternoois (Sue) of Sodus and La Vern (Buz) Zonneville (Andrea) of Webster; grandchildren Aaron Nesbitt (Robyn) of Colorado; Vance Nesbitt of Washington State; Jeff Ternoois (Martha) of Lyons; Jeanean Rutkoske (David) of Newark; Julie Vicinus (Brent La Due) of Wolcott; Renee Peters (Chris) of Ohio and Val Sussman of Wolcott; Christopher, Johnathan and Justin Zonneville; 12 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren; brothers Robert Comstock of Florida; Lyle “Fud” Comstock (Nancy) of Sodus. Jean went to the one room school house in Sodus Point. Once she got to high school in Sodus, she was referred to as a “Ling eater”. Once married to Butch she ran the office of Zonneville Motors (Dodge Plymouth) in Williamson and helped on their apple farm. She was a Brownie Leader and Girl Scout then she became a 4-H leader on horses. Jean enjoyed boating, snowmobiles and horses which they showed all over the East Coast. She worked at Duffy Motts in the office and when she retired, she and butch moved to Florida and lived there for over 33 years. When Butch passed on she moved to Wolcott to live with her daughter and to be close to family and friends so she could have many picnics and parties. She also made many friends at Red Creek School in the senior swim program. She loved to party, picnic and play cards. She was a member of the Williamson American Legion Post 394 Auxiliary. Her favorite expression was “I want.” Norma Jean has so many wonderful friends between New York and all the way down to Florida. She played tons of cards and loved to spend time at Disney but Sodus Bay was her favorite place to be. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A large thank you to her nurse Lori Carr and aide Judy Miller; we never could have gotten through this without you. Also a big thank you to Don Stothard for all her “I Wants” and so many checking in on her. A celebration of her life will be on Sunday, September 18th, 2016 at 1PM at the Elks Club, 6161 W.
