SAVANNAH
ALLEN, ANDREW I. age 91, passed away on November 11, 2016 in the Wayne County Nursing Home. He was predeceased by two children: David and Dennis. He survived by his wife, Jean; children: Donna, Dana (Lynne), Devin (Lorie), Linda and Andria; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Mr. Allen was born in Conquest on August 15, 1925. After graduation he served in the U.S. Army from 1943 until 1946. After his discharge from the Army he did several jobs, but most of his life he was known by many as a logger.
Calling hours will not be observed. A memorial service to his life will be held on December 4th, at 1PM at The Savannah Fire Department where everyone is invited to join the family. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make contributions to either the Savannah Fire Department or to the Savannah American Legion. A military burial service will be held in the Spring at the Butler-Savannah Cemetery.
