James “Jim” Ball passed away on Monday, June 12th, 2017 at his home at the age of 59 after a courageous fight following a devastating motor vehicle accident 11 months ago.  Jim was predeceased by his parents Elwood and Hilda Ball and his sister Rosalind Cleghorn.  Jim is survived by his loving wife Lisa and daughter Kathryn Ball along with niece Pam Cleghorn Dionne of Eustis, Florida, nephew Ben Cleghorn of Jamestown, North Dakota, 10 grand-nieces and grand-nephews, his Aunt Lorraine McNeal and his Uncle Lloyd (Betty) Vandeviver.
Jim graduated from Sodus Central School in 1975 and later from the Albany School of Pharmacy.  He was currently employed as a pharmacist at CVS in Sodus, NY.  He was a former member United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. Jim was an avid outdoorsman loving hunting, fishing and sailing. He was a talented musician and a member of many bands from Albany to Sodus.
Friends may call on Friday June 23rd  from 5pm – 7pm and Saturday, June 24th  from 2pm – 4pm at the Norton Funeral Home, 45 West Main St., Sodus, NY where the funeral service will take place on Saturday at 4pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jim’s memory to the charity of one’s choice or to World Vision at www.worldvision.org.
