Hi to Malchoff family members. I'm really shocked. I didn't know Doc passed away almost a year ago. I do remember him and Celey, because they were really to me when they opened their house to host me as an exchange teacher through AFS.
Sincerely,
Pedro

It was through Doc that my father’s dream of being a full time pilot came true. He and my father both shared a passion for flying and that passion expanded the Williamson Flying club from a small country airport to the beautiful airport is today. He watched me and the flying club both grow up, and was almost as proud as my dad when I got my pilots license at 17. I'll always remember him as he always was, smiling, joking and always with a pipe in his possession.

To the Family of "Doc" Malchoff,
Our desire is that your memories and your faith will continue to sustain and comfort you in the loss you have recently experienced. My memory of "doc" goes back to when I first began teaching in Fairport. We were looking for a fund raising project for the Peace Corp.
It occured to us that an aerial view of the school and its surroundings might sell well. I contacted "Doc" to see if he would be willing to fly me over the area so that I could take the photographs. He gladly obliged and in that way help us raise the desired funds. He had a big heart and a willing spirit. God bless you Sally, Carl and Kevin. I enjoyed teaching with your mom for a couple of years and having Kevin as my Biology student.

Doc's warmth and personal interest welcomed Kathy and me in 1975-77 while principal at Sodus High. HIs love of Rotary led to my own "addiction" as a Rotarian, now for 45 years! And he "took me up" for a pancake fly-in breakfast, too. I earned my own pilot's license at age 55 and flew for a dozen years, often with a stop at Sodus-Williamson Airport. Rest in peace, Doc! Thanks!

Susan and I send our deepest sympathies to all the Malchoff family. As a kid, I will always remember Doc coming by the farm to check the orchards and visit with Dad and Uncle Dave. And it was always a treat to get fresh hot pancakes from Doc at the Williamson Fly-In Breakfast each spring. Those were such fun days each spring. Later in life when my Dad was afflicted with ALS, Doc came and visited him and despite his own advancing years took him over to the airport so he could watch the planes on display. That was the kind of guy Doc was. A true friend, May God bless him and you all in your time of loss.

I only had the privilege of knowing this wonderful man for about 10 months. Doc was a very caring man. His family was everything to him. His smile said it all when they would call him daily to check on him. The love his entire family showed him is a true reflection of the wonderful man and father that he was. I'm so grateful that I had the wonderful opportunity to go on his last plane ride with him. Now he has taken his final flight- may he Rest In Peace. Love you Doc ❤️ ✈️
