Obituary of Cindy Kay Smith

Cindy Kay Smith passed away on March 7, 2018. She was born on June 30, 1959 to the late Frank and Shirley ( Van Cuyck ) Smith, at the Walter Reed Army Hospital in Springfield, Maryland. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sons, Ryan Adam Slayko and Stephen J. Lochner and her brothers, Frank L. Smith and Steven J. Smith. Her sister Linda ( Smith ) Mac Iver, also recently died.

     She is survived by her daughters, Amy ( Kevin ) Hurley of Lyons, NY and Crystal McDonald of Humbird, WI, her son, Kenny J. Lochner of Williamson, NY, three grandsons, Nathan Hurley, Camron Slayko and Caleb Comstock and two granddaughters, Sarah Hurley and Cali Winge, as well as, two brothers, William ( Bernice ) Smith of Rochester, NY and Daniel ( Gail ) Smith of North Rose, NY and her sister Sandra ( Milton ) Smith of Merrillan, WI. There are also many nephews and nieces.

     Cindy worked, as a CNA, enjoyed wood working, crocheting, gardening and spending time with her family and friends. She loved to make people laugh and was always the life of a party! She was a very loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.

     A memorial service will be held to celebrate Cindy's life, at the Norton Funeral Home, located at 45 West Main St., Sodus, NY., from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 21, 2018. Immediately following this service, there will be a brief ceremony at her gravesite in the Sodus Rural Cemetery on Route 88 in Sodus, NY.

     In lieu of flowers, donations in Cindy's memory, may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, 38105.

     There will be a luncheon for family and friends at Forman Park, 4507 Lake Road.
