Sodus: Bonnie Kimpland Johns passed away on Friday, January 6, 2012 at the age of 68. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, January 21st, 9 a.m. in Rochester at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 350 Chili Ave. (A second service will be held later in the summer in Sodus at the convenience of other friends and family.) Bonnie was predeceased by her parents, Bob and Margaret Kimpland, and her Aunt Ruth Kimpland. She is survived by her son, Ben Macur: her granddaughter Shawna Macur; and brother Tom Kimpland, along with several nieces and nephews.
She touched many lives with her kindness, generosity and her artistic gift of drawing the portrait sketch of an unsuspecting subject, then enjoying their smile as she handed it to them to keep. Bonnie had advanced degrees from RIT and was a 38+ year member of AA.
