Obituary of David Oliver Reed

Wayne County Businessman and life long resident of Wayne County, David Oliver Reed passed away at his home, Monday January 7th, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife, Nancy G. Wisner Reed; sons, D. Christopher Reed (Michelle Everhart) and Rodney J. Reed (Julie Bailey); daughter, Chanda Reed VanNorstrand (Paul); grandchildren, Shueston Reed Giuffrida (Joseph), Kaleb Reed, Bastian Reed, Maxwell Reed, Jordan Reed (Makala), Allison Reed, Tallie VanNorstrand Czajkowski (David) and Hannah VanNorstrand Giuffrida (Austin); several nieces and nephews.

David was born in Lyons, NY on October 25th, 1943. He retired from Gould Pumps as a foreman after 20 years in Seneca Falls, NY. He owned and operated Reed’s Garage for many years in South Butler, NY and Crane’s Crate Mill in Butler Center, NY. David was a member of the South Butler, NY Fire Department; the Carova Beach, NC Fire & Rescue Department; the Blessed Trinity in Wolcott, NY and the Wolcott Elk’s Lodge.

A “Celebration of David’s Life” will take place at the Wolcott Elk's Lodge on Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 2pm to 8pm.
