Sodus: February 4, 2012, at home surrounded by her family. Lilla Mae is predeceased by her mother and father; husband Willie Bowman Sr., brothers Peter, Paul, Henry and Hubert; sons Willie Bowman Jr. and John Bowman (Mary Lee); one daughter, two granddaughters; one grandson and three great grandchildren.
Lilla Mae leaves to mourn her sister Laura Feacher of Winter Haven FL, son Herbert Bowman Sr., daughter Hattie (James) of Sodus, daughter Dorothy Sales of Burlington MA, adopted daughter Dessie Addison. She also leaves to mourn 22 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 28 great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and very special friend Josephus Jones.
Visitation will be held Saturday February 18th from 11 to 1 at the Norton Funeral Home, 45 West Main Street, Sodus, where her funeral service will be held at the conclusion of visitation. Interment will be at the Sodus Rural Cemetery.
