Sodus: Passed away on Sunday, April 22nd, age 81 surrounded by his family. Richard is survived by his wife Ellen; his children Barbara (John) vanKerkhove, Donna (Bruce) Akins, Naomi Wentz, Kirk (Karen) Dinehart, Dorothea (Michael) Hillis, Mark (Betty Jean) Dinehart; grandchildren Piper vanKerkhove, Erin and Greg Akins, Kailey and Abigail Wentz, Rachel, Patrick, Madeline, Jacob and Luke Dinehart, Margaret and Audrey Hillis; sister-in-law Elizabeth Dinehart. Richard was predeceased by granddaughter Emma Akins.
Family and friends are invited to call Wednesday from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 45 West Main Street, Sodus. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Thursday from Church of the Epiphany, St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, 105 West Main Street, Sodus. Interment will follow at the Lakeview Cemetery in Pultneyville. At the request of the Dinehart family, donations in memory of Richard may be directed to Fr.
