Wolcott: Kathleen Miner Pena passed away peacefully on Friday June 29th with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband Luis Pena, parents Gerald and Evelyn Miner, brothers Jon and Joe. Kathy is survived by her son Sam Miner of Newark; granddaughters Kirsty (Justin Pentycofe) of Lyons, Brook and Britny Miner of Lyons, Katrina Miner of Newark; grandson Crue Miner of Newark; great grandson Jayden Pentycofe of Lyons; sisters Jackie (Dodge) Emigh of Wolcott, Donna Miner of Wolcott, Pat (Russ) Freer of Wolcott; brothers Gerry (Lucille) Miner of Norfolk, VA, Greg (Terry) Miner of Waterloo, Mike (Karen) Miner of Wolcott; aunts Betty Kuehl of Newark, Mirriam Englehardt of Florida, Grace (Ken) Martin of Webster; uncles Steve (Sandy) Wickman of Sodus, Robert Wickman of Lyons and Clifford Miner of Tucson, AZ; nieces, nephews, cousins, her many friends and special caregivers at the DeMay Living Center in Newark. Kathy was a strong and courageous lady to the end. She will be missed dearly by her family.
Visitation will be Monday (July 2nd) from 7-9 p.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 5925 New Hartford Street in Wolcott. Funeral services for Kathy will be Tuesday, 10 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by interment at the North Wolcott Cemetery. Fly with the angels Kathy, we all love you.
