Obituary of Mary R. Autovino

Irondequoit/Sodus: Passed away on Friday, February 11, 2011 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by her loving husband, James P. Autovino. Mary’s thoughtful
actions and loving ways will be a continual guiding light for her daughter, Patricia (Roger) Pierce, Sodus, NY; Grandchildren Jennifer (Francis, PhD) Sylvester of Sand Lake, MI., Jeanne (Todd) Sandagato of Kinderhook, NY, and Adam Pierce of Sodus, NY;
Great-grandchildren Anna, Francis and James Sylvester, Gianna and Emilia Sandagato;
special niece Marie DiPaolo; sisters-in-law Helen and Laura Autovino; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Mary was a long time employee of Eastman Kodak and retired from Kodak Park. She was also an active member of the Irondequoit Art Club and exhibited her paintings throughout the Rochester area. Mary had a unique appreciation for nature, and enjoyed painting scenic landscapes at Durand Eastman Park in Irondequoit. The Sodus area also inspired Mary’s artwork portraying local scenery, and Lake Ontario.
Friends and family wishing to share the memory of Mary’s life are invited to celebrate with the family at Norton Funeral Home, 45 West Main Street in Sodus, Tuesday February 15th from 2-5 p.m. Mary’s funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Rochester.
The family wishes to extend special recognition and appreciation to the staff of
Blossom View Nursing Home, Sodus, NY, for the love and care they gave Mary and for allowing her to feel part of the Blossom View family.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so may make a donation in Mary’s memory to the Blossom View Nursing Home Patient Activity Fund, or the Seneca Park Zoo,
