Sodus: Passed away on August 21st at Rochester General Hospital. He was born September 9, 1937 in Amsterdam, Georgia, and grew up in Lakeland, Florida. Upon moving to Sodus he met Geneva Galvin, which was a relationship that lasted for many years. He is survived by three children George, Larry and Toney all of Lakeland; his domestic partner Geneva Galvin; six step-children Robert, Ernestine, Ricky, Terry, Tina and Curtis; sister Bishop Bernice Brown of North Carolina; nieces Phyllis, Louise, Winatte, Sharron and Evon; many grand and great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends.
George’s funeral service was held on Monday August 27, 2012, at Little Bethel M.B. Church, 6336 South Centenary Road in Sodus. Arr: Norton Funeral Home of Sodus.
