Wolcott: Dr. Elliot Max Immerman died unexpectedly on Wednesday October 17th at age 66. Dr. Immerman is survived by his wife Catherine; daughter Annie; son Benjamin; mother Patricia Manley Immerman; sister Elaine (Charles) Meaden; and nephew Ross Meaden. He was predeceased by his father Martin Immerman in 1988. Born in Plymouth, England, Elliot was a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Class of 72. Dr. Immerman began his private practice in 1972, where he remained until his retirement in July of this year. He loved playing piano, sailing, enjoyed classic cars, golf, and was a member of Wolcott Elks Lodge #1763 B.P.O.E. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, from 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 5925 New Hartford Street in Wolcott, where his funeral service will be held immediately following. Interment will be private. Memorials in Dr. Immerman’s name may be directed to the American Cancer Society, 1120 Goodman Street South, Rochester, NY 14620; or to the American Heart Association, 3500 Winton Place, Rochester, NY 14623.
