Wolcott: Gertrude Yazel, age 86 on Saturday March 5, 2011. Born in Altmar, New York, she was the daughter of Clarence and Margarete Wood Martin. Gertrude is survived by her children, Nancy (William) Graves of Adams, William Hardy of Martville, George (Bev) Hardy of Dayton, OH, Pauline (Bruce) House of Herman, Mary (Jerry) Dusharm of Newark and Nora (Ronald) Payne of Wolcott; her brother William (Sherry) Martin of Central Square; 22 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by husbands Arthur Hardy and Thomas Yazel; grandsons Arthur Murray and Thomas Murray Jr.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the NORTON FUNERAL HOME, 45 West Main Street, Sodus. Her funeral will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Spring interment will be at the Baptist Rural Cemetery in Sodus Center.
