Wolcott: Age 25. Passed away peacefully on February 12th, 2008, following a lengthy battle with cancer, and the side effects from chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant.
Alex is survived by his loving parents Kevin and Amy (Chizuk) Van Waes; brother Peter Van Waes; grandfather Donald “Corky” Van Waes; step grandmother Ellie Van Waes; many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, co-workers from Marshall Farms; special companions Musch and Kitty. Alex is predeceased by paternal grandmother Jeanette Van Waes; maternal grandparents Josephine and Alexander Chizuk; great grandparents Mildred and George Meyer, Helen Bell.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday (Feb 15) from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the COLVIN-ROBERTSON-NORTON FUNERAL HOME, 5925 New Hartford Street in Wolcott. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, 10 a.m. from St. Mary Magdalene Church in Wolcott.
At he request of the Van Waes family, flowers are gratefully declined; memorials in Alex’s memory should be directed to the Humane Society of Wayne County, 1475 County House Road, Lyons, NY 14489.
