Sodus/Canandaigua: Passed away on Saturday February 23, 2013. Betty is predeceased by her parents Sylvia and Gilson Provard; husband Albert W. Baker; sister Evelyn VanDusen; and son-in-law Michael Boone. Betty will be remembered by her children Shirley Boone, Thomas Baker, Carol Mourey and Edward Baker (Connie); brother Jack (Millie) Provard; sisters Phyllis Liddick and Gerry Potts. Betty was loved by her many grand and great grandchildren. Betty was born in Texas, and then moved to Pennsylvania where she met and married Albert Baker. Following World War II the moved to Sodus where they successfully operated the Sodus-Williamson Penny Saver. “What path God promised” God hath not promised skies always blue, flower strewn pathways all out lives through. God hath not promised sun without rain, joy without sorrow, peace without pain. But God hath promised strength for the day, rest for the labor, light for the way, Grace for the trials, help from above, unfailing sympathy and undying love. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday March 2nd, 4 p.m. at the Sodus First United Presbyterian Church. Arr: Norton Funeral Home of Sodus.
