North Rose: Passed away on Sunday March 13th at age 84. Herman is survived by his wife Kay; his children Randy (Miriam) Knapp, Bruce Knapp, Keith (Penny) Knapp, Bill (Nichole) Knapp, Joe (Karen) Connelly, Mike Connelly and Steve (Sheryl) Connelly; grandchildren Pamela Lobell, Elizabeth Knapp, Jade Knapp, Amber Knapp, Chelsie Connelly, Stephen Connelly, Morgan (Andy) Patchett and Shane Connelly.
Born in Clifton Springs, Herman was the son of the late Clyde and Olivia Knapp. An avid outdoorsman, Herman’s passions were his family, fishing, golfing and hunting. He was a life member of the Sodus Bay Heights Country Club, a member of the North Rose Lions Club, and Masonic Lodge. Herman was a World War II veteran, having served in the Army.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:30 to 1 p.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Wolcott, where a Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions in lieu of floral offerings be made in Herman’s memory to the North Rose Lions Club, PO Box 59, North Rose, NY 14516.
