Obituary of Alexander William Gleken

Wolcott/Phelps: Age 19, unexpectedly on Wednesday March 13th. Alex is survived by his parents Pamela (Richard) Lee of Phelps and Scott Gleken of Las Vegas, NV; brothers Kyle Gleken and Rick Lee; sister Amanda Lee; grandparents Bill and Valerie Cahoon, and Barbara Gleken; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces. Alex is predeceased by grandparents Marvin Gleken, Gerri and Frank Lee; great-grandparents Marguerite Wilson, Marjorie and Don Cahoon. Alex was an Eagle Scout with additional Silver Palm award (Troop 115 in Wolcott). He spent three summers on the staff at Camp Babcock Hovey. Additionally, Alex donated many volunteer hours working with the Wolcott Historical Society. A 2011 graduate of North Rose-Wolcott High School, he had completed three semesters at St. John Fisher College where he was a scholarship recipient in Mathematics. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday from 1-5 p.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 5925 New Hartford Street in Wolcott. Alex’s funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Faith United Methodist Church, 12223 Oswego Street, Wolcott, NY. Interment will be private. Donations in Alex’s memory may be made to the Alex Gleken Eagle Scout Scholarship, c/o Troop 115, Wolcott, Attn: Patti Chapin, 6823 Stringer Road, Wolcott, NY 14590.
