Sodus Point/Geneva: Passed away in Pittsburgh, PA on March 6, 2008. William is survived by loving wife Susan Berman-Sill; his father and mother Stewart and Dawn Sill; sister and brother-in-law Charlene and Stan Fleszar; nephews Mark and Daniel Fleszar; father-in-law Kurt Berman; sister-in-law Elizabeth Berman; aunts Elsie (Richard) Visser, Kaye (Gordon) Hershberger, and uncle Steven (Sharon) Sill.
William was an internationally known sailor, boat builder, craftsman and innovator. The winner of three national yachting championships, he loved life, his family and working in his shop on his boats.
Calling hours will not be observed. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 13th, 11 a.m. from St. John’s Episcopal Church, 54 West Main Street in Sodus. In lieu of flowers, contributions should be directed to the Sodus Bay Historical Society, or to the Thomas Starzl Transplantation Institute, University of Pittsburgh at http://www.upmc.com/supporting.
