Sodus: Passed away on Tuesday March 11, 2008, age 84. Necia was predeceased by her husband Samuel DeRue. She is survived by her children Paul and Barbara (Fletcher) DeRue of Marion, Linda and Peter Low of Naples, Michael and Elaine (Ort) DeRue of Rochester, Gail and John VanDusen of Newark, Thomas and Kay (Kemp) DeRue of Palmyra, Douglas and Sue (Kemp) DeRue of Palmyra, Daniel and Barbara (Zeger) DeRue of Palmyra, Reginald and Dawn (Tompkins) DeRue of Seneca Falls, Ronald and Elizabeth (Wiemann) DeRue of Newark, Andrew and Robin (Austin) DeRue of Williamson and Jeffrey and Debra (Austin) DeRue of Williamson; 24 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Family and friends will meet on Saturday March 22nd at 10 a.m., at the First Baptist Church of Macedon, 58 Main Street, Macedon. Necia’s Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. followed by a luncheon at the church. Spring interment will be at the Baptist Rural Cemetery in Sodus Center.
In lieu of flowers, Necia’s family requests that donations in her memory be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association, 435 E Henrietta Rd, Rochester, NY 14620.
