Wolcott: Age 90, at home surrounded by his loving family. Don is survived by his wife of 70 years, Catherine; son Russell (Debbie) Hyde; daughter Paula (Bert) Yeara; grandchildren Bob (Laurie) DeMass, Ronald (Rosanne) DeMass, Jeffery (Patty) Hyde, Lisa (Rob) Rooney, Denise (Aaron) Velardi; great-grandchildren Branden DeMass, Stacy DeMass, Russ (Gunsah) Patchett, Andy (Morgan) Patchett, Brad DeMass, Kristy DeMass (Trever), Jonathon Hyde, Matthew Rooney, Kevin Rooney, Morgan Velardi and Taylor Velardi; great-great grandchildren Carter Griffin and Gabriella Patchett; several nieces and nephews. Donald was predeceased by his parents Fred and Fannie Hyde; brothers Ernest and Roy Hyde; sisters Dorothy McCain and Florence Capron.
There will be no prior visitation. A graveside service will be held on Saturday April 13th at 3:30 p.m. at the Huron Evergreen Cemetery on Dutch Street Road. Donations in Don’s memory made be directed to the Wolcott Area Volunteer Ambulance Corps (WAVAC) 5841 New Hartford Street, Wolcott NY 14590; Lifetime Care, 800 West Miller Street, Newark, NY 14513; or to the National Stroke Association, 9707 E Easter Lane Suite B, Centennial, CO 80112.
