Wolcott: Thursday, April 18, 2013, age 95, peacefully in her sleep at her daughter's home in Bristol, following a lengthy illness. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Charles. She is survived by her son David O'Brien (Colomba Misseritti); daughter, Kathleen O'Brien (Graham Thompson); daughter-in-law, Judi O'Brien; grandchildren, Matthew O'Brien of NC, Katie Steffenhagen of Rochester; great-grandchildren, Charles O'Brien of NC, and Max Steffenhagen of Rochester. Dorothy was a member of the Wolcott Draper Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, and the Faith United Methodist Church. Her family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Joel Shamaskin, and her healthcare aides who so compassionally provided her care. There will be no prior visitation. Please join her family for a graveside service, 2 p.m. Monday at the Huron Evergreen Cemetery, Dutch Street Road in Wolcott. At the request of Dorothy's family, donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Rochester and Finger Lakes Region, 435 East Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY 14620; or to Pet Adoption Network, 4261 Culver Road, Rochester, NY 14622.
