Seneca Falls/Savannah: Ward Donovan Russell, died at Seneca Falls, NY on March 18, 2011 at age 91. Mr. Russell was born in Seneca Falls on March 24, 1919. Charlotte (Olmstead) Russell 88, survives her husband of 71 years. Ward was the son of Ray and Celeste (Ward) Russell of Seneca Falls. Mr. Russell retired from a career of self-employment involved in the wooden furniture, Cooperage and recreation industries. Ward was active as a board member of the Savannah Methodist Church, and Masonic Lodge where he was Past Master of Savannah, and Past District Deputy Grand Master of Wayne District. Ward and Charlotte retired to Pensacola, FL for twenty-five years where his brother and family had resided. Mr. Russell is survived by his daughter Cheri (Jeff) Lenhert of Albuquerque, N.M. and by three sons. Donovan (Carol) Russell of Moravia, Stephen (Donna) of Savannah, and Herbert (Roberto) Font-Russell of Rutland, VT. Also, grandsons Brad Russell of Ithaca, and Brett Russell of Las Vegas. One sister Marjorie (Harry) Phillips of Seneca Falls. Mr. Russell was predeceased by his sister, Rosalie Bruce of Geneva, and brother Robert (Irene Sikonen) Russell of Pensacola, FL. A graveside service will be held on a date to be determined at Crusoe Cemetery near Savannah. Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers may be made to the Finger Lakes SPCA, 41 York St. Auburn, N.Y. 13021 or to Heights Baptist Church, 600 Pickens Ave. Pensacola FL 32503.
