Lois A. (Appleton) Chatfield

Lois A. Chatfield, 73, passed away Wednesday, May 03, 2023, at Newark Wayne Hospital, with her family by her side.

Friends and family are invited to attend her celebration of life Saturday, May 13 from 1 – 3 PM at the Savannah Fire Hall, 1770 New York 89, Savannah, New York, 13146

Lois was born in Sodus, NY on August 19, 1949, the daughter of Carl D. and Alice (Stevenson) Appleton.  She was a 1967 graduate of West Genesee High School, Camillus, NY.  Lois retired from the VA in Syracuse NY where she was a receptionist in patient services.

Lois is survived by her husband, James W., whom she married June 28, 1969; children; Melissa and Michael (Misty) Chatfield, sisters; Suzanne Yackel and Barbara (James) Spencer; grandchildren  Karyn (Travis Carvey) Dreverman, Chelissa and Gabrielle Chatfield; great-grandson Benjamin Edward.

Besides her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her infant daughter Karen Ann Chatfield.

Her family would like to thank the staff at Newark Wayne Hospital for their care of our wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt while she was there.
