Sheila A. Ferrari, 79, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, June 16, 2023 at her home.

Friends and Family are invited to call Saturday, June 24 from 2 – 4 PM at Norton Funeral Home, 5925 New Hartford Street.

Sheila was born on July 30, 1943 in Deposit, daughter of Floyd V. and Sharma G. (Scutt) Brown. She graduated from Deposit High School (1961), followed with Bachelors of Arts from SUNY-Albany (1965) in English Language and Literature, and Masters of Art from Michigan State (1970) in English/Language Arts Teacher Education. She worked as Purchasing Director for 20 years for Thompkins County and retired in 2008. Sheila's passions included hiking, literature, traveling, wildlife and bird watching.

She is survived by her daughter Anne Minges; son Michael Ferrari; grandchildren Addison, Jared, Ethan, and Hannah; a sister Shera Selzer; brother Neal Brown; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
