Wolcott: Passed away on Friday June 21st, at age 59. Matt is survived by his wife Carol; brothers Wayne Lee Douglass Sr. and Allan Mead (Roxanne) Douglass; sister Wendy Webster (Debbie White); sister-in-law Sarah Wadsworth; father-in-law Milton Wadsworth; several nieces, nephews and his devoted feline friends T.T. and Squirt. Matt was predeceased by his parents Russell and Vivian DeVall Douglass.
Matt was a dedicated 35 year employee of the Wegman’s Egg Farm, and the Wayne County Egg Farm. He was a 37 year member of the Wolcott Elks Lodge, B.P.O.E. #1763, and was a past member of the Wolcott Fire Department.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday June 26th from 3-6 p.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 5925 New Hartford Street in Wolcott, where his funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Private interment will be at the Huron Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials in lieu of flowers should be directed to the Humane Society of Wayne County, 1475 County House Road, Lyons, NY 14489, or to the American Cancer Society, 1120 Goodman St South, Rochester, NY 14620.
