Right up to his death too soon, Kevin was busy helping others sort through the debris and loose ends of their own disorderly lives. It was his job, and it was his nature. He certainly was there for my family when we moved to Florida. Kevin’s innocence and sweet nature may have led him to take in more pain over the course of his life than he could shed. But one thing’s certain: Kevin loved his family and his family loved him. For that, he will be admired and missed.

Although I was much closer in age to Tony and idolized Samantha as a big sister since I was a toddler basically, I will always remember Kevin as someone who seemed so funny and carefree in my eyes. I remember when he came to Florida and stayed with my family for a while as a young man. I am so sorry for all of your loss I know he meant so much to each of you! I’ll always remember his smile and laugh. So much to all of you especially my second Mother, Penny. May he rest in peace.

Kevin was a great step dad to us kids. He was always there for us even when we weren’t around and busy with our own lives. He was always a shoulder to cry on and someone you could trust to talk to and receive great advice from. The best memories I’ve had with him were always when we were experiencing new things. He didn’t have much but he always made sure us kids were happy and well taken cared for. He was a family man and loved being able to help others in any way that he could. He genuinely wanted to see the good in everyone. He was a compulsive gambler and would always take Asia with him and he would come back so happy and proud that he won. I’m so happy that he was able to enjoy the last days he spent with the memories he gained. I remember. When he took us to the jungle queen. He taught us more about Al Capone on that tour than the tour guide could. Lol. He loved to eat and anytime someone made him something he liked we would have to make it for him for a whole week because he loved it so much and just could not get tired of it lol. Asia was his best friend. He had taken her to make her his support dog. He didn’t actually need a support dog. He wanted to be able to take her everywhere without people telling him he couldn’t bring her with him. He would carry that paper with him everywhere. They were inseparable. The memories I’ve gained and endured with Kevin I will never take for granted. I’ll always remember the lessons he taught me. I’m so grateful to know him and be apart of his life. And I’ll always be thankful to have a second father figure always. We will forever miss you and love you more than you know. Please watch over us. We love you.
