Lorene Parker, 90, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, September 7, 2023 with her loving and devoted family by her side.

 
In keeping with Lorene’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. There will be a graveside service on Thursday, August 14 at 2 PM in Huron Evergreen Cemetery, Dutch Street, Wolcott.

 
Lorene was born on November 30, 1932 in Union Springs, Alabama, the daughter of the late Hick and Mattie Lee Rodgers-Faniel. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Lorene was also devoted to her community and her church. One of her greatest joy in life was caring for people, both family and community members.

 
She is survived by her daughters: Reverend Tommie Louis Parker, Elizabeth Williams, Cynthia Turner and Martha Black; her sons: Walter J. Faniel, Henry J., Tommie J., John E., and Michael U Parker; her sister, Mary Elizabeth McCants, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 
Besides her parents, Lorene was preceded in death by her husband Tommie Lee Parker; several brothers, sisters and many other family members.

 
Mom loved her family very much, she has always been there for each and every family member. She will be dearly missed; may her legacy live on in our lives and the lives of those she touched.
