Gail (DeBadts) Caine

Gail Caine, 96, of Sodus, passed away peacefully Friday, December 15, 2023.

Gail was born December 14, 1927 in Sodus, NY.  She graduated from Sodus High School and retired from Goulds Pumps Water Systems in 1991.  She was an avid reader, enjoyed spending time with family, and caring for her cat, Pepper.  Gail was most proud of her hard work at Goulds Pumps and maintaining her independence until the age of 96.

Gail was predeceased by her parents, Jacob J. and Sarah K. DeBadts; son in-law Frank Marticelli; sister, Elinore Goulette; brothers, Jay and Ralph DeBadts; and nephew, Gary DeBadts.

Surviving are her daughters, Eileen Marticelli, Sandy (Dave) Panek and Nancy Caine; grandchildren, Cheri (Eric), Kari, Megan and Kailee; and great-grandchildren, Jack, Abbie and Chloe. Several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Her family greatly appreciates the time that all the extended family took in looking out for mom in later years, and especially the special friendship with Debbie and Randy Cornelius.

In keeping with Gail’s wishes, there will be no public calling hours or funeral service.  Burial services will be private at the Sodus Rural Cemetery, next to her parents.
