Obituary of Eleanor J. Husner

Sodus: Eleanor Husner, age 79 passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends at the Blossom View Nursing Home on July 13, 2013. She was born April 4, 1934 to the late Roy and Edith Johnson of Sodus. She is predeceased by brother Charles Johnson, sister Mildred Poole, brother-in-laws Harold Brautigam and Homer Poole, and by family member Shirley Blankley. Eleanor is survived by her former husband Harry “Jug” Husner; daughters Debbie (Mike) Woodland and Tammy Robinson (Eric Chase); grandchildren Shane (Michelle) Woodland, Jon Woodland, Lil Ray and Kayla Robinson; great-grandchildren Sarah Woodland and Stephen Robinson; brothers and sisters Norma Brautigam, Geraldine (Bob) Shultz and Gerald Johnson; sister-in-law Joyce Johnson; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Eleanor was a life long resident of Sodus and had resided for the past two years at Blossom View Nursing Home. She was self-employed for many years in the food service industry. Eleanor will be sadly missed by family and friends. In keeping with Eleanor’s wishes visitation will not be observed. There will be a graveside memorial service at the Sodus Rural Cemetery at 3 p.m. on Monday, July 22nd. Following the committal everyone is cordially invited to a celebration of her life with an Ice Cream Social at 4 p.m. to be held at the Wolcott American Legion Post, 10675 Ridge Road in Wolcott.
