Maybell (Bracey) Howard

Sodus:

Maybell Howard, 82, passed away Monday, March 11, 2024 at Newark Hospital.

Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours Friday, March 22, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Norton Funeral Home, 45 W. Main St., Sodus, NY.  A funeral service will be held immediately after at the funeral home, from 1 PM to 3 PM.  Burial will be at the Sodus Rural Cemetery, Rt. 88, Sodus, NY.

Maybell was born on February 20, 1942, in Sumter, South Carolina the daughter of the late Roosevelt and Elise (Brown) Bracey. She enjoyed being around the love of her life, James Howard, family, listening to Gospel music, watching Soap Operas and Madea movies.

She is survived by her son Reginald Bracey; sisters Florence Weston and Cora (Eddie) Dennis; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and special nieces; Jamie and Dionne Bracey, Amari and Allaysha Grady, Anthony Bracey, Tevin Bracey, Jayshawn Jennings..

Maybell is preceded in death by her husband, James Howard; sisters; Emmabell McCray and Elouise Thomas; brothers; John, David and Roosevelt, Jr. Bracey; niece, Diane Bracey and great great nephew, LaVon Williams. 

The family would to like thank all the aides, a special thanks to Dolly a lady that went above and beyond for Maybell and took wonderful care of her. The family appreciates everything the aides did for her.
