I worked with Mike for 20 years in Film Manufacturing at Kodak Park. He was a good friend and a real pleasure to work with.

Mike was my father-in-law. I married his daughter, Erin. I am grateful that he and Jo, his first wife, welcomed me right away when Erin and I started dating in high school.
In the summers I would help Mike put the docks in the water at his cottage. When Erin and moved to Sodus Bay he gave us the docks and then it was his turn to help me put them in the water.
He was very kind and gracious with his tools. Erin and I would borrow them all the time. Over the 30 years we lived near him, he would always call me and say “Where are my tools, I can’t find ___. Do you have it? Quite often I would I have the tool but I got better about bringing them back and over time I usually didn’t have them when he couldn’t find his tools. It became a fun running joke over the years. I’ll miss the times when he would call asking about where his tools were. Rest in peace, Mike.

I will always remember the last time I saw Mike. It was last summer and when I spoke to him, he actually smiled at me. What a fond memory.

'Welcoming Mike'
My memories are similar to Dale’s.
I am one of Mike’s Kodak-work-colleagues in the UK, who became friends. In ’82, I came to Rochester with my young family on an assignment. Our temporary home was not available on our arrival. Mike and Jo said ‘come stay with us for a few days’. We did. For our excited, but slightly nervous family, the welcome we received from Mike & co. was exactly what we needed. Our ‘children’, aged 7 and 5 at that time, still have detailed memories of their arrival and stay with the Sullivans.
And, Mike followed that up with many more welcomes, even in Costa Rica!
I know similar memories are shared by a number of our UK friends.

Mike is the father of my son-in-law Jeff. I have many fond memories of Mike . My best memory is when one spring week my wife and I traveled from North Carolina to Sodus Point to spend a week or so with Mike and Jo. Mike at the time was mayor on Sodus Point and he was invited to go out with hatchery officials to stock trout in Lake Superior. He invited me to go with him. It was cold just above freezing when we arrived at the marina where the tank truck loaded with trout was driven on an LST. It was a great trip. When we returned, we were cold and a little wet. Mike, not wanting to waste the rest of the day decided we would go to where his boat was in winter storage. We brought across the Bay and docked it at his house. Now it was time for some wine! Rest In Peace my friend.
